Video Poker
Video poker can be a simple game once you familiarize yourself with the different poker hands.
Insert coins in the machine to start the game and place a wager. Once a bet has been made, cards can be drawn by pressing the button labeled "Draw/Deal." The cards normally do not appear in order on the screen.
Then, you have to decide which cards you want to keep and press the "Hold/Cancel button. If you change your mind after you have chosen your cards, just press the "Hold/Cancel" button again to cancel your selection. The screen will flash "hold" under held cards to confirm your decision.
Push "Draw/Deal" again to be dealt new cards to replace the ones discarded. If you have a winning hand, you will receive a payout and then the game will start again.
The video poker machine will notify you of any hands or potential hands that could have been played once the game is completed.
Slots
In slots, the object is to have three matching symbols in a row when the wheel comes to a stop. Insert a token or money in the machine to begin play. After this, pull the lever or push the button to get the reels going. If you manage to line up three of the same symbol when the reels stop, you win the game.
Even if you have less than three of a kind, certain slot machines will pay out. Always make sure you read the payout schedule because payouts will sometimes be different from machine to machine.
When there are multiple pay lines, players can play with more than one coin and place bets on multiple rows. Since it is likely at least one of the rows will have a match, this method increases the odds of winning.
