Baccarat Rules
The game of Baccarat is the simplest card game at the casino. The game is played entirely according to a set of rules and neither the player nor the dealer has any decisions to make. The rules are designed to make the best play for both the player and dealer, so Baccarat is one game that the player is not at a disadvantage for not knowing the rules. In fact many players don't bother to learn the rules knowing that the dealer is forced to make the best decision on their behalf.
The players (to a maximum of 12 to 14) are seated at a table before play starts. They all place their bets in front of them backing the side they think will win.
The banker plays with only person at a time going around the table one player at a time.
The dealer then deals two cards face down to both him/herself and the player. They both look at the cards and if either as a Natural (8 or 9) they both turn over their cards. No further play is made the one with the total closest to nine is the winner.
If neither the dealer nor the player has a Natural then play continues (player first) using the following rules:
